Our Philosophy

More Than
a Café

Founded in 2016 by Avi Shrestha and Sobi Agrawal, Avi's began as a quiet conviction: that Nepal grows some of the world's most extraordinary coffee — and that it deserves to be celebrated, not overlooked.

Our beans come from the misty highlands of Gulmi, Lamjung, Arghakhanchi, and Kaski — sourced directly from 14 smallholder farming families we've known for years. Every harvest, our team travels to cup and hand-select each lot.

At our Patan roastery, head roaster Dipesh Maharjan develops individual roast profiles for each origin — honouring the terroir that makes Nepali coffee so unique.

We work directly with 14 smallholder farms across Gulmi, Lamjung, Kaski, Arghakhanchi, Palpa, and Rolpa. Our team visits each harvest to cup and select lots by hand.

Every brew method is calibrated daily. Himalayan spring water at 93°C. Grind size dialled per gram. Extraction windows measured in seconds. Never guessed.

Zero-waste packaging, solar-powered roasting, and a closed-loop compost programme that returns spent grounds to our partner farms as fertiliser.
